Từ ngày 19-23/5/2026, đoàn công tác của Học viện Quốc phòng do Thượng tướng Trần Việt Khoa, Uỷ viên Trung ương Đảng, Giám đốc học viện đã có chuyến thăm và làm việc tại Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ. Đoàn đã viếng Lăng Lãnh tụ Ataturk và có các buổi làm việc với Chuẩn Đô đốc Alper YENIEL- Chỉ huy Chính sách - kế hoạch, Bộ Tổng Tham mưu Quân đội Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ, Giáo sư Tiến sĩ Erhan AFYONCU - Giám đốc Đại học Quốc phòng Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ, Chuẩn Đô đốc Erhan AYDIN - Phó Giám đốc Đại học Quốc phòng và tham quan một số cơ sở công nghiệp quốc phòng. Hai bên đã trao đổi nhiều biện pháp nhằm tăng cường hợp tác trong các lĩnh vực đào tạo, nghiên cứu, công nghiệp quốc phòng…, trong đó có việc tiếp tục tăng cường trao đổi đoàn Lãnh đạo giữa hai Học viện Quốc phòng lớn nhất của hai nước, tăng cường trao đổi học viên tham gia các khoá đào tạo của nhau cũng như nghiên cứu thực tế quân đội mỗi nước.
***** From May 19 to 23, 2026, a delegation from the National Defense Academy of Viet Nam, led by Senior Lieutenant General Tran Viet Khoa, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and Director of the National Defense Academy, paid a working visit to Türkiye.
During the visit, the delegation laid a wreath at the Atatürk Mausoleum (Anıtkabir) and held working sessions with Rear Admiral Alper Yeniel, Chief of Policy and Plans of the Turkish General Staff; Professor Dr. Erhan Afyoncu, Rector of the National Defense University of Türkiye; and Rear Admiral Erhan Aydın, Vice Rector of the National Defense University. The delegation also toured several defense industry facilities.
The two sides exchanged various measures to further strengthen cooperation in training, research, and the defense industry. These included continuing to enhance the exchange of high-level leadership delegations between the two countries' premier national defense academies, increasing student exchanges for training courses, and conducting field research on each other's military forces.
